New Equipment Announcement

25 November 2025

We’re really excited to reveal the newest addition to our land management fleet: a Bluebird remote control mower. It’s a serious piece of kit, capable of tackling banks of up to 35 degrees and equally at home cutting grass or clearing scrub, and it opens up a whole range of sites that conventional machinery simply can’t reach safely.

Steep banks, raised verges, and overgrown slopes are a common feature of the habitats we work in across Jersey and Guernsey, from coastal earthworks to hedgerow banks and old field boundaries, but they’re also some of the most difficult and risky ground to manage by hand or with standard ride-on equipment. Because the Bluebird is operated remotely, our team can manage that terrain from a safe distance, cutting back vegetation on slopes that would otherwise be left unmanaged or require far more time and risk to tackle conventionally.

That matters for conservation as much as it does for safety. Left unchecked, scrub and coarse grass can quickly take over banks and verges, squeezing out the finer grasses and wildflowers that support pollinators and other invertebrate life. Being able to cut these areas properly and on a regular schedule means we can keep that balance in check, supporting better habitats while still meeting the practical land management needs of the sites we work on.

This new addition sits alongside the rest of our equipment fleet and broadens what we can offer for vegetation management, habitat restoration, and ongoing land maintenance work. If you’ve got a site with difficult terrain, overgrown banks, or scrub that needs bringing under control, we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch with the team to talk through what you need and how we can help.
