It’s research season for our team with various projects on the go! But first up, an update from our long-running and award-winning The Jersey Grey Long-eared Bat Project.
On Saturday the team were out for our first trapping session post-fledging of grey long-eared bats. It was also the first time using the new Ecotone harp traps.
Overall a quiet night with only 4 captures, but true to the project’s name, we only caught grey long-eared bats. Lovely to have two juveniles among those captured.
Our next few sessions will be over in Guernsey with the La Société Guernesiase and joined by Richard Crompton.
