We’re delighted to welcome Hannah Le Morvan to the Sangan Island Conservation team! π¦πΏ

Hannah is a passionate ecologist and zoologist with over seven years of experience across local and international projects, working as an ecologist, ranger, and researcher. Throughout her career she has built a strong foundation in community-focused conservation and sustainability, and brings a genuine enthusiasm for bridging the gap between theoretical research and practical conservation management.
Her research interests centers on mammalian ecology and ecosystem processes, and she has built up an impressive and varied portfolio of field experience along the way. Highlights include developing a long-standing research project on Common Chameleons on Samos Island in Greece, her Masters research on wildfire impacts and vegetation structure in small mammal communities in Orange County, California, and conservation work spanning orchid populations, Chinese white dolphins, and microplastic pollution in marine environments in Hong Kong.
Hannah is also a confident communicator and educator β she has spoken at volunteer-run events showcasing her research techniques and findings, hosted panel discussions on themes in biology, and led educational guided walks in Scotland exploring native and non-native trees, wildflowers, birds, mammals, and fungi.
We’re thrilled to have her on board and can’t wait to see what she brings to the team. Welcome, Hannah! π
